Business and Technology Risk Team

Our Business Risk division provides an investigative research and consultancy service to major global corporations, law firms and financial institutions. Our research supports pre-transaction investigative due diligence, fraud investigations and litigation consulting.

Your Responsibilities

  • You will be expected to have good understanding of our clients' needs and objectives and be able to translate their needs into research proposals accordingly;

  • You will be responsible for leading the cases and executing client mandates from beginning to end;

  • You will be the managing the client for your projects;

  • You will need to work effectively with other team members and partners in Asia and elsewhere to collect the research in a timely manner; and

  • You will be responsible for writing up well-analysed and succinctly written research reports.

 

We are looking for individuals with the following attributes:

Character

  • High level of integrity and discretion

  • Well-organised and able to work well under pressure

Skills

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and investigative skills

  • Strong attention to detail and be able to see the "big picture"

  • Strong client management skills

  • Clear, concise communication skills in English

  • Able to write accurate reports in good and concise English with good prose

Technical Knowledge

  • Good legal knowledge of commercial transactions and dispute resolution situations

  • General commercial and financial knowledge

Other Skills

  • Good understanding of corporate records, and other official records and filings

  • Strong research skills, including using the Internet for research

  • Conversant with proprietary information databases such as Lexis Nexis

Qualifications

You are likely to have a strong academic degree from a leading university. You may be a commercial or criminal litigator or have been in other roles where you have used your strong investigative and problem-solving skills, such as in a prosecutorial role, technology risk, compliance, regulatory or government roles or research in banks, credit rating agencies or other organisations.
 

It is important that you have strong knowledge of Asia (business, political, social and cultural) and it is preferable that you have good command of at least one Asian language.

Remuneration

Good financial remuneration depending on experience, generous holiday allowance and other company benefits.

Political Risk Team

Our Political Risk team provides assist our clients in analyzing political environments for favourable outcomes from foreign projects, investments or transactions.  Caerus Consulting can explain the present environment amidst complex regulations and increasing public scrutiny.  We can provide relevant advice on strategic political risk concerns before investment, as national, regional or international situations change. Working collaboratively with our clients, we can develop quantified and comparative risk assessment modules.

 

We are looking for experienced individuals who have good knowledge and contacts in local governments and militaries to join our growing team.  

 

If you have at least 2 years proven experience dealing directly with government agencies and institutions in Asia together with strong language skills, we encourage you to become our political risk consultant.
